From 28 April to 6 May, I went for a pilgrimage to Italy. I participated in the beatification of John Paul II. We visited among athers, Venice and its two islands: of Murano and Burano. But also Florence, Assisi, Monte Cassino, San Giovanni Rotondo and Monte San Angelo. A guide told us a lot about the monuments, but also interesting things, details associated with these places. We also had our free time. Best for me was staying on the Adriatic Sea. We enjoyed beautiful weather and I think it was a really cool trip. A photo will be the best reminder of those days.

From 13 to 15 May was on a trip to Vienna. On the first day we visited Bratislava in Slovakia. Overnight stay we had in the vicinity of Bratislava. On the second day we were in Vienna, where we wandered with our lady guide. She told us many interesting things and stories about historical monuments. We visited Belvedere, Schonbrunn, Stadpark and nearby really interesting streets. On the third day, with a local guide we went through the old town. We walked for example, next to the Parliament. We were at the Museum of Natural History, which is one of the most important in the world. We also had our free time in the afternoon we went back to Poland. I think it was a great trip to a wonderful place.

Two weeks ago I went on a pilgrimage to Italy. We left on the 28th April. We travelled by coach, which was very comfortable and modern. We got to Italy quite quickly and we went straight to the hotel. The journey was fast, but tiring so after supper we went to sleep. On the next day we went shopping because we wanted to buy some food and drink that we wanted to take for beatification. Later we went to Rome and we did some sightseeing. We saw Collosseum and the Papal Basilica of St. Paul Outside the Walls. Then, we went to Saint Peter's Square and we took part in beatification. When the mass finished we were exhausted. On the third day we went to Monte Cassino. On this mountain we saw monastery and cementary. On the fourth day we visted Pompeii where we saw old Italian city. Eruption of the volcano (Vesuvius) killed all people there. We visted a lot of cities for example San Giovani Rotondo, Florence, Lanciano, Manopello, Monte San Angelo and Loreto. However, the best was Venice. It was great! I really liked the journey because I visted many interesting and beautifule places.

The memories of the visit in As Pontes in Spain
with the representatives of Socrates Comenius Group

The headmaster mgr Edyta Miśkowiec, the English teacher and eight students, in May, went to Spain to meet coordinators and partners of Socrates Comenius project from school I. T. C ,, De Amicis“ from Rovigo in Italy and IES Castro da Uz from As Pontes in Spain.

The main aim of the visit was the evaluation of the project ,,Folklore, Music and Traditions”. All the schools have presented their works i.e. the traditional games of each country. We were given the book in which there are all the works of students. The book has been prepared by the coordinators of the project as the summary of all the works as it is the end of this project.

We also took part in the party organized by the students’ parents. The ones who hosted our students. It was an opportunity to taste traditional dishes and to listen to Galician music.

During our stay we have visited the famous Cathedral in Santiago de Compostela, the Natural History Museum and the coast.
The trip was very, very long (we traveled by bus!) but everything was worth seeing it.
